Studio Location

We’re located in Westlake Village, California in Los Angeles County. We're 30 minutes to LA, and 30 minutes to Malibu, just off the 101 freeway.

Hard Surface 3D Artist


Ryzin Art is seeking a freelance 3D artist who specializes in hard surface art with a passion for FPS games, weapons, vehicles, and props.


Ideally we are seeking someone who is self motivated and extremely passionate in the subject matter. Must also be able to take direction well, be open minded, and is seeking an opportunity to learn and grow.

How well you collaborate with others will greatly impact the work we produce.


Hourly rate based on experience. This is a remote freelance position, with the possibility of ongoing work long term. 


Standard requirements: 


  • - Strong proficiency in 3DS Max / Maya / Blender,
  • - Strong knowledge and skill set relating to hard surface in Low Poly modeling, high poly modeling, UV-ing, lighting, and flawless normal map baking
  • - Strong understanding of realism in texturing
  • - Strong understanding of PBR
  • - Basic LOD creation and Mesh optimization
  • - Experience with real-time graphics and have worked on at least one released title 
  • Works well with others


Ideal candidate will have the following experience: 


  • - Fluent in English
  • - Knowledge and proficiency in substance Painter / Designer
  • - Knowledge and proficiency in Zbrush
  • - Knowledge of putting assets into game engine (UE4, CryEngine, Unity, etc)
  • - Located in the Los Angeles Area a huge plus
